I am using DigiKam 1.5.0 and ubuntu 10.10

AFAICT, you need just select target images to send and go Image->Email Images. A dialog appears where you will be able to set additional images to send. Also, there will be a tab to set mail agent preferences. Clicking OK button results in a call of the specified mail agent with target images attached to a template message.

I have them installed, I even recompiled both after installing an email client. Other plugins show up
