Starting contribution and development in Digikam

rajat gupta
Hi

I am Rajat. I recently started using KDE and its various products including Digikam and I found them interesting.I downloaded the source code of digiKam, compiled it,and tried to read it. I wanted to contribute to the source code of digikam but was unable to figure it out how to start just by reading the code. I would love to implement the ideas given on GSOC ideas page and remove some bugs too. I can implement OOP concepts of C++ very well as I implemented it for 2 years. Also I can make dialoges and custom widgets in QT. I recently made a Poker bot using Java which can play with human players for IITB techfest. Can any developer guide me through this?

rajat,

If you want to contribute to digiKam through GoSC 2012, i recommend to
take a choice into current ideas posted here :

http://community.kde.org/GSoC/2012/Ideas#digiKam

... Select one, and start to make a proposal for a future post on
Google Melange interface.
