Showfoto for Scanners (scanning pluging, like GIMP)

Hi, since I'm so used to showfoto to process my digital images, and now I happen to need to scan quite a few photos, I was wondering if there is a way to integrate scanning (xsane, let's say, in my ubuntu hardy box) into showfoto.

...such that within showfoto, I could click a button a be presented with the scanning dialog, and then get the output right away inside showfoto. I know Gimp has something like this.

Is there such a plugin for showfoto?

Not yet, but, it can be done easily with few line of code. Please make
a new file in bugzilla about this subject:
