Hi, all
I asked this question on the KDE forums but haven't had a response. https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=255&t=125481 I have digikam installed on Ubuntu 14.04 64bit. It segfaults when I try to open it. I have some info here, but not really sure how to proceed. apt-cache policy digikam digikam: Installed: 4:4.8.0-trusty~ppa1 Candidate: 4:4.8.0-trusty~ppa1 Version table: *** 4:4.8.0-trusty~ppa1 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/philip5/extra/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 4:4.4.0-trusty~ppa2 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/msylwester/digikam/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages 4:3.5.0-0ubuntu10 0 500 http://au.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/universe amd64 Packages GNU gdb (Ubuntu 7.7.1-0ubuntu5~14.04.2) 7.7.1 Reading symbols from digikam...Reading symbols from /usr/lib/debug/.build-id/90/769ceef5049c2f3165604fd02a9c6b9bee7932.debug...done. done. It crash in QT5 !!!
digiKam do not use Qt5, only Qt4. I suspect that you mix both lib on your computer, or, the unbuntu package is broken... It's not definitively a digiKam problem. It's a packaging problem...
