Saving tag data

Dotan Cohen
I must reimport all my photos to reset the dates- for some reason
(discussed here on list) all my photos have the same date. However, I
have hundreds of tags on thousands of photos. How can I backup the tag
database so that I can restore it after reimporting?

Thanks.

Did you get my mail from yesterday?
I suggested to set the dates in the database to null and let the startup scan
reread the date:

With the sqlite3 tool, execute
"UPDATE Images SET datetime=null;"
Then at startup, scanlib should update the date information.
Of course make a backup of your database file!

(untested)

I somehow missed it at first. I had now implemented the suggestion and
it worked great. Thank you very, very much Marcel.
