Saving cr2 to 16 bit TIFF

Dante Bell-4
Hi All,

I've just started with Digikam on Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit and can't believe
what an excellent tool you all have created.

I'm sure this is covered somewhere, but I can't seem to find it, but how
do I convert Canon Raw 2 (cr2) files to 16-bit TIFF images? I see how to
save in 8-bit TIFF and 8-bit PNG, but I don't see any option for 16-bit
TIFF or PNG.

Thanks,
Danté
