I also took a few photos with my digital VCR camera, but these images did not loose the exif data. Strange? When I opened a jpeg file from the D40 in the editor and saved it as a png, the exif data were also *not* lost. I have Digkam 0.9.0. I'll experiment further and finally send you a small piece for the faq. -Bjorn > Alternatively, is there anything which should be added to > handbook, which already has a detailed account on image formats, see > http://docs.kde.org/development/en/extragear-graphics/digikam/using-filefor >matsupport.html ? > > Best, Arnd > _______________________________________________ > Digikam-users mailing list > [hidden email] > https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Sat, 7 Jul 2007 23:56:27 +0200 (CEST) From: Arnd Baecker <[hidden email]> Subject: Re: [Digikam-users] jpeg compression To: digiKam - Digital Photo Management for the masses <[hidden email]> Message-ID: <[hidden email]> Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=iso-8859-1 Hi Bjoern, On Sat, 7 Jul 2007, [iso-8859-1] Bj?rn Kvisli wrote: > L?rdag 30 juni 2007 18:34, skrev Arnd Baecker: > > Would it make sense to put a brief summary of the contents of this > > thread into a FAQ entry (eg. You could try with 0.9.2, but I am not sure if anything was done in that part ... Not sure, but maybe you should file a bug report, if there is no further input on this in the next days Best, Arnd ------------------------------ Message: 4 Date: Sun, 8 Jul 2007 00:01:50 +0200 From: Bj?rn Kvisli <[hidden email]> Subject: Re: [Digikam-users] jpeg compression To: digiKam - Digital Photo Management for the masses <[hidden email]> Message-ID: <[hidden email]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" L?rdag 07 juli 2007 23:56, skrev Arnd Baecker: > Hi Bjoern, > > On Sat, 7 Jul 2007, [iso-8859-1] Bj?rn Kvisli wrote: > > L?rdag 30 juni 2007 18:34, skrev Arnd Baecker: > > > Would it make sense to put a brief summary of the contents of this > > > thread into a FAQ entry (eg.
