"Resize" output is just all black

Paul Verizzo
Just one big black frame.  Tried several times, read the the Help PDF, can't see anything I'm doing wrong.  Tried Google and Bugzilla, nothing that I could see.

Windows 3.2.

I presume that DK resize is working something like Reshade, no?  www.reshade.com .  The latter is amazing, you can enlarge photos hugely w/o loss of detail.  This is important to me because I have a lot of great images that were taken in the digital dark ages of 2mp cameras.  I'd rather do it in within digiKam.

Thanks, Paul Verizzo

Re: "Resize" output is just all black

Paul Verizzo
It's just a black rectangle, Giles.  Nothing to show.

I selected another image and did this: Selected Image Editor and Resize.  In the dialogue box I selected dimensions that would be about 12mp from a 2mp source.  I also selected "Restore Photograph" since the description of that implied that's what I want.  I hit Try, and after it was done working, Save As.

The resultant file had no file type, such as .jpg..........and it was only 81 bytes!

Thanks, Paul

Not reproducible under Linux and OSX. It's probably a Windows dysfunction with CImg library which is used by Restore mode.

If you disable Restore function, does it work as expected ?

Finally got back to testing without Restore.  Same 81 byte file.
