I have set up Import to auto rename my pictures (the Customise button is
on) and to use extension based sub-albums. On my Canon SX200 taking jpeg rename on import all works fine. On my other camera a Canon EOS 550D taking raw and jpeg they do not get renamed. If I change the settings on the 550D to just take jpeg they do get renamed. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks Mick _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Which version of digiKam you use?

What custom renaming string you use? I have it here tested with NEF and JPG
from my Nikon, the files are correct in the sub-albums saved and renamed. Maik Am Samstag, 11. The string is PIC[date]. As I said it works fine for single format but
jpeg and raw it just doesn't rename. I just tried running it from command line and doing an import, here is the output - mick@Mint17Desk:~$ digikam Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceAdded(QDBusObjectPath) Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceRemoved(QDBusObjectPath) digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::DigikamApp::checkSolidCamera: Solid returns unsupported driver handle for gphoto2 digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::DigikamApp::checkSolidCamera: Solid returns unsupported driver handle for gphoto2 digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::DigikamApp::checkSolidCamera: Solid returns unsupported driver handle for gphoto2 digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::ImageInfo::fromLocalFile: No location could be retrieved for "" digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::ImageInfo::fromLocalFile: No location could be retrieved for "" digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::ImageInfo::fromLocalFile: No location could be retrieved for "" digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::ImageInfo::fromLocalFile: No location could be retrieved for "" digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::ImageInfo::fromLocalFile: No location could be retrieved for "" digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::ImageInfo::fromLocalFile: No location could be retrieved for "" digikam(7344)/digikam (core) Digikam::ImageInfo::fromLocalFile: No location could be retrieved for "" QThreadStorage: Thread 0x4105420 exited after QThreadStorage 40 destroyed QThreadStorage: Thread 0x4105420 exited after QThreadStorage 37 destroyed QThreadStorage: Thread 0x41017c0 exited after QThreadStorage 37 destroyed QThreadStorage: Thread 0x4104f20 exited after QThreadStorage 40 destroyed QThreadStorage: Thread 0x4104f20 exited after QThreadStorage 37 destroyed QThreadStorage: Thread 0x40ff110 exited after QThreadStorage 37 destroyed QThreadStorage: Thread 0x41003c0 exited after QThreadStorage 37 destroyed mick@Mint17Desk:~$ Which I don't think shows anything useful Mick On 11/07/15 23:17, Maik Qualmann wrote: > What custom renaming string you use? Is there a chance you try to force the extension (instead of just using the original extension)? (i.e. you tell the rename command to use .jpg as extension, no matter what) That would work fine with the older camera, not witht he newere where you have 2 files with names that only differ in their extensions. I don't think I am trying to force anything, I have selected Customise,
with PIC[date] and then Auto-creation of Albums with Extension-based sub-albums ticked. How about only raw? Did you tick "leave my RAW's alone", or the equivalent? I am not at my pc, I can't recall the literal option. I did tick it, and I besides excluded my raw's from showing at all by entering '-NEF' in the file-extension dialog, giving me precious little experience with raw in DK ;-) Perhaps if raw's are excluded one way or another, they also get filtered out when renaming. I just set the camera to record RAW only, import and they do not get
renamed, so it seems it is RAW rather than dual format that causes the problem. Any other thoughts, or should I raise a bug for it?
