Hello,
    I was able to test the patch.It worked fine.Also it focuses on tree view in right sidebar as you already mentioned Gilles.Also in menubar Tag in digikam there is no shortcut option seen.In other words it's a cached keyboard shortcut not visible to users.I also had a question Markus:I had 2 previous tags panda and panda kung fu, until 4th word panda kung fu was the first option then when it reached 5th word panda became the first option and then after 5th word panda kung fu became first option.Shouldn't first option be panda until 5th word if it is sorted and then panda kung fu.

Yes it's better than previously available option in which whole word had to be typed and is a good feature which every user would like and this feature should be added.Also shortcut made visible is different topic and could be implemnted differently but this sort of auto-completion feature is must.

Also,tell what should I try to do with this patch.

... a,d it's not a GoSC 2013 project. It's just a job delegate to a student to judge the capability to manage a task.

 

The patch is already finished and only needs to be approved/tested by somebody before I can commit it. As for testing, I'm using it regularly and it behaves as intended

Gilles, what do you mean with "it miss some menu entries to make shortcuts visible to end users"? I'm already using the KAction class for the shortcut to focus the tagedit-box, hence it's visible in the "keyboard shortcut" menu ("Assign Tag")

As for the "author keyboard workflow" as you mentioned it, do you think it needs some more documentation? Maybe a "tip of the day"?

No. I want mean that there is already a lots of hidden Tags Management options in contextual menus. If you look into Tags menu from main GUI, there is only few options visible. I already seen some comments in private mail about this problem. New users will don't find these hidden options easily. This is an usability problem.

This want mean that we need to make your new options visible in this menu, if it's possible...
