I'm only guessing what a backport might be, I assume it's when an already released version of an OS acquires more recent components.  Will this happen for the KDE for Windows version?  Those of us unable to work out how to recompile digiKam are still stuck with 1.0.0 beta5.

...any idea whether kipi-plugins 1.0 will make it to backports?
