Hello,
I can confirm the problem.
I'm using 0.9.3-beta3 and exiv2 0.15

This looks like it might be related to something I reported last
month, but found a workaround for my situation. See:
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150801

Question to developers: Could the PNG Preview tag be causing this
issue also?  How do we stop the creation of this tag when saving as a
PNG?

You should probably report this as a bug.
