Hello list,
I am somewhat new to digikam, new to the list and new to digital photographing. If I shoot raw I set my camera to also save a jpg file. Is there a good way to tell digikam that those two files belong together, so only one (jpg) is shown when browsing through an album. Are you in general shoot raw or jpg or both? Thank you for you answer. Wolfgang _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
It's not possible to group image (items in general with digiKam 1.x)
With 2.0.0, it's possible since beta4 Gilles Caulier 2011/3/29 Wolfgang Mader <[hidden email]>: > Hello list, > > I am somewhat new to digikam, new to the list and new to digital > photographing. > > If I shoot raw I set my camera to also save a jpg file. In the beginning I only shot jpeg photos as I was not used to raw processing (esp. not with Linux). after a few months I switched to raw+jpg and since this year I switched to raw only. With some photos I had problems to get good results out of the raw file with ufraw (and digikam btw.). After switching to darktable for raw processing in December 2010 It was time to get rid of the out of camera jpg files. Main problem (at least with digikam 1.x) is the tag and other exif handling. These data are not copied by darktable. I have to do it by hand. But I hope digikam 2.x will play nicely together with darktable.
