Hi,
Now that digikam (0.10) can "read" the raw files from my canon I was intrigued to see that digikam reports the raw file as bing 15mb in size but the compressed (level 9) png file derived from it is reported at 24 mb. What ami I missing ? The same is true for me too. RAW files are about 12-15 MB, PNG files grow > 50 MB!!!! I use a Canon EOS450D (12.2 Mp).

In a 16 bit PNG file you have 16 bit for each colour giving 48 bit for each pixel. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Hi,
I've just reinstalled my system and have fresh installation of KDE4 with digiKam 0.10.0 (SUSE KDE4 Factory repo) and *fresh* database of photos which was build by digiKam from scratch and nothing was imported from digiKam 0.9.x database. I noticed that I've got many tags in IPTC written by 0.9.x versions of digiKam in a way like: tag/subtag/subtag2 tag2/subtag3/subtag4 and digiKam 0.10.0 writes every tag in separate line: tag subtag subtag2 etc. Maybe nothing wrong, but "slashed" tags are not shown in photos preview nor in tag tree tab in the right panel. And, what is most unexpected, I CAN'T search photos in those "slashed" tags - using digiKam's search tab in the left panel, I am not able to find those photos. Not slashed tags are correct and I can find photos tagged this way. So it looks like digiKam doesn't see its own tags written by previous versions... Did you guys noticed the same behaviour and is it worth of bug report in KDE bugzilla? -- Michal, admin [monkey] nocnyrzepin [dot] net http://www.nocnyrzepin.net _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users signature.asc (204 bytes) Download Attachment |
