I'm using Digikam 5.5.0.
1. I need to copy selected jpg images to a new folder without that new folder becoming a new album. How can that be done? 2. I put some important jpg images in a queue (they still appear to be there), as I thought I could then copy them to a new folder by choosing "Group Selected Here." Now they now longer show up under their dates or tags, and if they were copied to a new folder I can't find it. Do I still have my files? If so, how can I get them to show up again under their dates and tags? drl |

Hi,
I am not quite following what you want to do, so the following might be off: 1. Folders are albums. If you want to ignore specific folders (i.e. they exist on your filesystem, but are not shown in digiKam), you can do so in the configuration under Database in the Ignore Directories tab. 2. What do you mean by queue? Group selected here does only what it says: It groups the items you selected. And no new group was created so far as I can see. When I use a file manager I can see that the files still exist, and I can even display them with Linux Mint Mate Xviewer, but they do not display in Digikam5. What must I do to make them display again? The Batch Queue Manager chapter of the documentation is blank. Clicking on that triangle displays the rest of the images. drl |

What must I do to make them display again? database). So it has no effect on the filesystem, i.e. when viewing files with other programs or your file manager. Grouped items are by default hidden behind the "main item". You can show them by clicking on the group icon in the bottom left or via the context menu under Group -> Show/Hide Grouped Images. In the table view three options are availabe: Show all items, only main items of a group or tree view. In some upcoming release you will be able to include or exclude grouped items from the bqm. If the main item of a group does not contain a tag, but one of the grouped item does, only the grouped item containing the tag is shown under that tag. I think that is a reasonable behaviour.
