I posted the other day that I had a problem with Digikam not recognising
that photos had already been downloaded from my Android smart phone. Now today exactly the same thing is happening on my Canon SX10IS camera. Photos I downloaded last weekend show up as new in the download window when I went to download the new ones, all have a star against them instead of a tick. After the download the 5 done today now have a tick. I expected Digikam to check the file name in the database and recognise that all these photos are already downloaded somewhere in the collection which is what used to happen on 1.9. I am using Digikam 2.3.0 on Fedora 16 with an SQLite database. Just taken a look at the download history in the SQLite database and for
some reason the photos in question were NOT in the database which I guess is why they came up as new. I can see photos in the history which were downloaded afterwards. Hi,
I my case the images imported from autodetected device doesn't work. This was the case in openSUSE 11.4. I'm now on openSUSE 12.1, but haven't tested yet. When importing from a manually added device every images is remembered as imported. There was a discussion about this some month ago. This was in the context of a fixed bug if I remember correctly. Don't know if this is the same for you but might be worth a try. /Anders 2011/12/10 Stuart T Rogers <[hidden email]>: > Just taken a look at the download history in the SQLite database and for > some reason the photos in question were NOT in the database which I guess is > why they came up as new. Well I dont understand what is going on now. I can see all the photos on
my Canon in the database downloaded history but right now the last lot I downloaded show up as already in the db, but the most recent 5 which have been downloaded and are in the history show as new - which they are not. However if I reopen digicam and try to import now they are all showing as already in the collections. So now I'm confused, sometimes this works and sometimes it does not.
