I recently discovered Project Neon, a nightly build service for
KDE-Trunk, Amarok, KDE-PIM, and a few other KDE apps. I asked on the Project Neon Google Group about adding Digikam, but they do not have the manpower to handle the packaging and maintenance. Is there anybody here that would be interested in handling that? It would make the latest Digikam much more accessible to the average Joe like me and others who express a will to help with Digikam development but have trouble building. The Project Neon Google Group is here: http://groups.google.com/group/amarok-neon The project homepage mentions only the Amarok build service, as that was the original purpose of the project: http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/User:Apachelogger/Project_Neon -- Dotan Cohen http://what-is-what.com http://gibberish.co.il א-ב-ג-ד-ה-ו-ז-ח-ט-י-ך-כ-ל-ם-מ-ן-נ-ס-ע-ף-פ-ץ-צ-ק-ר-ש-ת ا-ب-ت-ث-ج-ح-خ-د-ذ-ر-ز-س-ش-ص-ض-ط-ظ-ع-غ-ف-ق-ك-ل-م-ن-ه-و-ي А-Б-В-Г-Д-Е-Ё-Ж-З-И-Й-К-Л-М-Н-О-П-Р-С-Т-У-Ф-Х-Ц-Ч-Ш-Щ-Ъ-Ы-Ь-Э-Ю-Я а-б-в-г-д-е-ё-ж-з-и-й-к-л-м-н-о-п-р-с-т-у-ф-х-ц-ч-ш-щ-ъ-ы-ь-э-ю-я ä-ö-ü-ß-Ä-Ö-Ü _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Neon only provides packages for Kubuntu, this is not very usable. It will help
you, but not the rest of the user ;-) SUSE build service will be a better system for this, it can provide packages for every package manager out there (as far as I understood). Aaron seems to be impressed by the build service, too. I don't know how it works, but this may be a better approach. Maybe I am missing something, I will go through TFM and see what I come up with. I had looked at the Suse Build Service before I discovered Project Neon. -- Dotan Cohen http://what-is-what.com http://gibberish.co.il א-ב-ג-ד-ה-ו-ז-ח-ט-י-ך-כ-ל-ם-מ-ן-נ-ס-ע-ף-פ-ץ-צ-ק-ר-ש-ת ا-ب-ت-ث-ج-ح-خ-د-ذ-ر-ز-س-ش-ص-ض-ط-ظ-ع-غ-ف-ق-ك-ل-م-ن-ه-و-ي А-Б-В-Г-Д-Е-Ё-Ж-З-И-Й-К-Л-М-Н-О-П-Р-С-Т-У-Ф-Х-Ц-Ч-Ш-Щ-Ъ-Ы-Ь-Э-Ю-Я а-б-в-г-д-е-ё-ж-з-и-й-к-л-м-н-о-п-р-с-т-у-ф-х-ц-ч-ш-щ-ъ-ы-ь-э-ю-я ä-ö-ü-ß-Ä-Ö-Ü _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
I don't know how this is working, too. Maybe it is not made for building
nightly SVN builds...? Any SUSE cracks on this ML?
