Dear all,
I have some difficulties with digikam 5.7.0 on MacOSX El Capitain. I have an external NTFS disk that I have connected to my MacBook Pro. The disk is accessed through Paragon NTFS. On it there is a large archive of RAW and JPG. The disk appear in MacOSX Finder as Pictures_1TB. I have installed digikam 5.7.0 but when I try to add a USB collection, Pictures_1TB is not shown. Anyone who knows how to solve? Best Regards Corrado |
I have just the same problem. My computer is an iMac 27” and all my 20.000 fotos are in an external hard drive, and it’s not possible to find the hard drive in DK for import the photos El El mié, 17 ene 2018 a las 14:41, cerp <[hidden email]> escribió: Dear all, |
Hi, This is normal for the moment. The problem come form KF5::Solid framework which is used to manage events from computer device, including USB disk plug, and Disk partition UUID identification for the database. Currently, the KF5::Solid code for MacOS is minimal, but, a MAcOS developer has proposed a huge patch to improve MacOS support. Unfortunately, the patch still in review stage in KDE Phabricator and is not yet valided and commited in KF5::Solid framework. It could also be related to the Qt-file dialog we use in digiKam-5.7.0. In
digiKam-5.8.0 it is possible to choose the native system file dialog in the settings under Miscellaneous. Please test this with digiKam-5.8.0. Maik Am Mittwoch, 17.
