Problem in using "Create Presentation in MPEG

Antonio Carlos Ribeiro Nogueira
I am trying to create a VCD with digikam. Well, I start digikam and
select "Create Presentation in MPEG" Tool. I select the photos to create
VCD and it sends me an error message that I am not being able to fix up it.

      5412 Broken Pipe           | $YUVSCALER_BIN -v $VERBOSE -n
$VIDEO_TYPE_LETTER -O $VIDEO_FORMAT
      5413 Illegal Instruction        | $MPEG2ENC_BIN -v $VERBOSE -n
$VIDEO_TYPE_LETTER -b $BIT_RATE -V $BUFFER_SIZE -f $VIDEO_FORMAT_NUMBER
-o "$TMPFILENAME.tmp.m2v"

Merging MPEG flux...
**ERROR: [mplex] Unable to open file
/home/ribeiro/tmp/kde-ribeiro/kipi-mpegencoderplugin-5384//1132093820.tmp.m2v
for reading.

Does someone can help me to overcome this error? Sorry for my poor English.

What is your Linux distribution ?

Are libraries ImageMagic and mjpegtools (mjpegtools version must be <= 1.6.2)
properly installed on your system ?

My mjpegtools is version 1.6.3 and my libmjpegtools is version
1.7-1.6.3. My Linux Distribution is Mandriva 2006.

Only mjpegtools version < 1.6.3 works.
You use Mandriva Linux 2006, install mjpegtools-1.6.2-10mdk.i586.rpm from
Mandriva Linux 2005 Limited Edition and it will work.

This want mean that it's relevant of a bug in new MJPEGTool version ?

If yes, please report it in plugin B.K.O entries

Hi, Gilles, you were right. I uninstall mjpegtools-1.6.3 and reinstall version 1-6.2 (modifying back that lines that I modifyed in /usr/bin/images2mpg to it's original statement) and it works fine. But I would like and additional information. After finished the Codifying process, what is the next steps to burn the VCD file in the CD media? I just tryed to drag and drop the video mpega file:
/dos_d/Minhas_Fotos/Documents/Anderson.mpeg (is it the extension? It is not showing me what is the extension. Just that the icon is of a moving filme. Should I have to add the extension when I start the codifying process?) into the box of the k3b package and burnt it.  Well, the result is that I place the CD in the DVD Player and it didn't know what type were the CD. What I have done of wrong process?
I hope you may help me.
