Question: is it possible to set a frame from a video as a preview image, which is then used as thumbnail in the different views of Digikam.
A similar function exists as 'preview image' of videos on Youtube. For me it would be enough to be able to select a frame from a video clip and set it as preview image.
I shoot nature videos and produce a lot of short video sequences as footage. The first frame of a video clip usually does not show the subject. For example: the video of a toucan starts with an empty branch on which the bird lands a few seconds later.
