Plasma Wallpapers

Hi digikam developers,

I'm part of the VDG and do some artwork for the Breeze icon set. Now I make LO icons, but after that I'll send you some examples for digikam.

You are the picture heros of kde. On each digikam release you have a realy wonderful new splash screen image.

Plasma 5.1 and 5.2 has a new wallpaper but only one. I would like to see some nice wallpapers for 5.3 in other areas.

There was a nice weather wallpaper app in kde 4, I think it wasn't ported but for this there were never realy usefull wallpapers. In addition there should be also wallpapers for more categories.

My question was:

- do you want to help plasma with the standard wallpapers?

For the weather wallpaper app there are pictures needed for clear, partly cloudy, cloudy, very cloudy, showering, scattered showers, rainy, misty, storming, hailing, snowing, scattered snow, partly cloudy night, cloudy night, clear night and mixed precipition.

I would recommand also wallpapers for Art, Animals, People, Nature, City, Landscape, Macro, ...

Resolution 640x480, 800x600, 1280x800, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1638x1024, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200, 2560x1440 and 2560x1600. Not all resolutions are needed. I can make the different resoultions from the original.

Licence: Which licence use the splash screen pictures?

My wish was to have wallpapers from different part of the world to show what's the community, but this is only a wish.

Nothing especially. I register authors in AUTHORS files from digiKam,
and i post image to splash-screen contribution page :

I recommend to post this request to social network. G+ is the most
appropriate for that as it's a Geek SN where we have a plenty of
users, contributors.

I can also fork the post to my circle where more than 5000 people follow me.

I made a blog post to ask the users on planet KDE to found some new desktop wallpapers but I hope the digiKam users support the challange.
