I've deleted the "People" tag several times, but it keep reappearing. Is
there a way to permanently delete it? I'm using digiKam 3.5 from Gentoo portage. I don't know what version it appeared in first. It does seem possible to rename it and/or move it to other places on the tag tree. But I wouldn't actually trust using it for other than its face recognition purpose. I don't use face recognition when tagging images. So I'll try moving it to a place on the tag tree where it's less distracting. I don't like/need it either. But it wouldn't prevent from upgrading: I don't want to loose many other new functions and fixes; 2.6 is way behind! Several serious bugs have been fixed since 2.6. If the People tag could be permanently hidden, that would be nice, but it's not a big deal. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I don't know if "2.6 is way behind" but 2.6 is very stable, it works well (Debian stable/wheezy, mysql external server, about 20 000 pictures). That's all I want. I tested DK 3.5 but I can't really use it: updating db is very slow, it doesn't find collection each time I launch it, it freezes very often, all is slow... -- Maderios _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Do you mean tags or tab? I don't see any People tag... except in the People tab that I never open because I don't use it. I don't use geotagging, nor fuzzy search either.2013/11/29 jdd <[hidden email]> Le 29/11/2013 18:06, Marie-Noëlle Augendre a écrit : -- _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

With DK 2.6 (Linux Debian Wheezy/stable), only one (very minor) bug : a "root_tag". I just ignore it. -- Maderios _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
A 'big' one about tags has just been fixed recently (3.5.0 version): in previous versions, you couldn't reorganize tags structure without getting rid of former tree tags. I had given up using tags up to that version as any attempt to modify/delete tags only resulted in adding to the existing mess... Marie-Noëlle2013/11/29 maderios <[hidden email]>

Maybe, this bug depends on db, sqlite, internal Mysql, external Mysql... External Mysql works well and quickly with dk 2.6. -- Maderios _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
