I just got a really nice SD card based video camera, a Panasonic SDR-SW20.
The camera shows up as a usb storage device, and digikam recognizes it.
Unfortunately it apparently stores its files in a non-standard location:
selene:/mnt/usb# ls -R
.:
dcim misc sd_video
./dcim:
./misc:
autprint.mrk
./sd_video:
mgr_info prg001
./sd_video/mgr_info:
mgr_data prg_mgr
./sd_video/prg001:
mov001.mod mov002.moi mov004.mod mov005.moi mov007.mod mov008.moi
mov00a.mod mov00b.moi mov00d.mod
mov001.moi mov003.mod mov004.moi mov006.mod mov007.moi mov009.mod
mov00a.moi mov00c.mod mov00d.moi
mov002.mod mov003.moi mov005.mod mov006.moi mov008.mod mov009.moi
mov00b.mod mov00c.moi prg001.pgi
selene:/mnt/usb#
All digikam sees are the "mgr_data prg_mgr" entries. It treats these
as files and does not descend into them.
avidemux sees the .mod files as MPEG PS so everything there seems to be
OK; it's just that digikam needs to recurse into all dirs, not just dcim....
