I'm working with both stills and AVI files. I;ve got just about
everything figured out, except that digikam won't invoke any movie player by itself. If I click on a movie icon, I get a blank pane. No errors, but no movie either. I can play the videos with Open with... and select any of the players there, but double clicking on the icon leads to a blank pane. Any ideas on where to look? --Yan _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I have fixed this problem in 0.9.3 release. Regards Gilles Caulier 2008/1/20, Yan Seiner <[hidden email]>: I'm working with both stills and AVI files. One minor bug in the internal player: occasionally when the video stops, a 60 Hz buzz continues from the speakers. (Maybe in Europe it's a 50 Hz buzz?) This occurs rarely and I haven't found a good way to reproduce this. I'll post a video clip when I find one that I can make public. --Yan _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Please open a new bug report for this then. (Otherwise it will get lost ....) Sorry, you are right Gilles - we already have too many bugs in the digikam bug tracker essentially caused by other software .... ;-) ((Of course, this is not always easy to see for the user whom he should blame ... ;-)) Best, Arnd _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Which player is it? Or is there a KDE core buglist? _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Look in KDE Control Panel witch video player is installed as plugin. Usual and best one is kaffeine (Xine frond end)
You can have more than one installed.diigiKam will use the first one witch is found in your system. order in KDE control Panel list is not respected (this is a fault of KDE API, not digiKam) Try to open this your video file into your media player (as extrenal window, not as embedded preview in digiKam) and look if problem still exist.
