No "Import" for scanners

Paul Verizzo
After a long hiatus, I'm back to digiKam on Windows (8.1).

My problem: DK will not recognize either my Canon Lide 600 or 8800F scanners.  The Import button remains grayed out.

It will recognize my Konica-Minolta A2 w/o issue.

I've looked through the help file and searched online but couldn't find anything to help me.

BTW, the latest version is superb!  A couple of years ago the Windows porting was unstable, clunky, but showed promise.  I'm glad I checked back!  I was going to download a trial of Adobe Lightroom to show some programs in a class.  Regardless of price vs. free, when I saw that it was typical Adobe Bloatware of almost a gigabyte, I scratched that idea.

Thank you, everyone for a great product.

Paul Verizzo

Paul,

Scanner interface is drived by libksane. I know that under windows,
this library use Twain API. But that all...

Please report this problem to KDE bugzilla, into libksane section.
