New digikam installation, can't move images to trash

Chris Green
I have just installed Digikam (0.9.4) on my wife's xubuntu 8.10 computer.

It seems to be working OK except for one thing, when you try and
delete an image a pop-up appears saying it can't rename the image
file.

I have looked at all the directories that would seem to be involved
and they're all writeable by the user running Digikam.  Can anyone
suggest what might be wrong and/or how I can investigate further.

I had exactly the same problem with 0.9.4 and found a way around it:

The problem is not there in 0.10

OK, thanks, that would explain it (and fix it).

It wasn't there in my upgraded from 0.9.3 Digikam either on an
otherwise very similar xubuntu 8.10 system.
