New digiKam and showFoto icons for 2.0 release?

What you guys think, is there need to update the digiKam logo than just fixing some problems (about scaling of 16x16 - 32x32 size)?

I have gone discussion with Pinheiro (Oxygen artists) about updating digiKam icon and I would like to keep the lens with blue/orange reflection instead doing single dark one. 

There are few updated versions.

With smaller and darker glass: http://i.imgur.com/zO8rI.png

Smoother with multiple reflections digiKam: http://i.imgur.com/RDyJS.png showFoto: http://i.imgur.com/G6dG6.png

The update would affect the www.digikam.org site, digiKam & showFoto icons, splash and the animated logo on right side of toolbar and info panels with the one size (+ wikipedia)

The webpage could need some updating as well (could be done just with image files?) if someone knows that well enough.

yes, probably in drupal customization file.

easy to do. We need PNG and SVG files of course.

What's about a promotional paper, as it have be sone for 1.0.0 ?

I think so as well. Fits almost only for big sizes and even then is not so simple element

What others would say it? I would vote this as well. Fits for Windows and Mac OS X environments as well.

Keeps the same icon for digiKam and fits from big sizes to small icons (with small tweaking as needed always).  

 

Can be done if someone as wikipedia account.

What's about a promotional paper, as it have be sone for 1.0.0 ?

I can upload the icon to wikipedia as well then.

About promotion image I dont have a idea as I have not tought it yet at all, as been so many other things to do (painting house, building new kitchen, farm tasks etc) 

But that can be arranged.... Need just to get somekind theme... ideas?
