Implicitly, who is the copyright owner of the pictures you download from the
camera?
digiKam is not a tool to shar material copyrighted by a third-party, or to
break DRM. It is obvious.

This law do not affect (actually) the photography world, but only the Musics  
and movies world. It dedicaced to limit downloading over internet and other
stuff...

digiKam do not make reverse-engenering somewhere directly. The only parts
where we can found decryption/decoding of proprietary informations are Exiv2
and dcraw...

And, at least, the Raw-files are only special formatted pictures with
additional information from the cam, e.g. wb, settings of camera-profiles
etc.

These formats are not encryptet to protect or prevent the files.
