Nepomuk support

I've just upgraded from 1.7.0 to 1.8.0 and I've noticed that the
Nepomuk Tab is no longer there in "Settings -> Configure digiKam ->
Metadata". Does this mean that Nepomuk support has been dropped?

No. your digiKam is just not compiled with nepomuk support. It's optional...
