Missing thumbnails with Digikam 2.5 on Windows 7

I installed digikam 2.5 on Windows 7 over the older 2.2 that was working well. The collections and albums were found and the tag structure was all there, but the thumbnails were missing. This was the case whether I installed 2.5 over the the older 2.2 or if I uninstalled the newly installed 2.5 and started over. It was also the case if I had the newly installed 2.5 look at the old databases or let it create new ones. In I also tried to refresh the thumbnails. That process just hung - for over 9 hours when I aborted it.

Any ideals how to get the thumbnails back. I have of course backed up my original databases.

Hi,

just right klick on a picture an let is show you in Dolphin (View in folder). Click in the right upper corner an's select configuration. Select miscellicious at the bottom of the scroll list, an's change the size of pictures from which thumbs have to be created to 0 for infinite or a higher preffered size. Et voi la.

Mike,

I can not see any individual images. I can, however, right click on an album and it opens in Dolphin. However, when I click on the setting icon in the upper right, there is only a drop down list of settings. There is no setting labled miscelaneous. If I look at the configurations settings in digikam there is no setting for iamge size. Where is this setting you are refering to?
