Hi,
I'm running digikam 1.0.0b3 and trying to make best us of metadata templates. The problem I'm facing is that metadata are not written to the file, whether the option to write metadata is selected or not. Is this normal behavior or a known bug ? I did not find anything similar in the mailing list. Thanks, Bruno _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Well I double checked and if you select and image, then with menu
Image/Metadata/Edit XMP, assign some info, they are properly written to the file. However if you define a "Metadata template" and apply to a file, even though it seems that data are saved (the hard drive does something...), when checking with exiv2 -pa myfile.jpg, there is nothing. "Metadata template" is a new feature so maybe it's not really implemented yet ? I'd like if someone could ty it as well. Yes this option is set.
Using metadata templates works for you ? I haven't tried to add a template after they are imported as i saw there was a bug related to that that would destroy some tags if i remember right? / Jonas _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
I never trie to apply a template when importing images, but I think
anyway applying a template should work any time. For example I wanted to apply a set of tags to old pictures, then I can't use this function yet. May be you could try to apply a template to a test image and see if this works ? This would allow to decide if this bug is specific to my setup or if this is digikam. Thanks for your help.
