Hello digikam-users, until today I had two independent digikam installations. Now I want to merge the two databases (digikam4.db) with all captions, ratings, etc. I couldn't find a simple way to do this. Do you have any suggestions? Best regards, Lutz

One alternative is let one DB write all metadata to files, then re-scan the whole collection from other DB. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Hello Brano,
this leads me to the question I have for long time already: What data are really stored in the database? Really only the meta-data you can write to file? That would basically be only tags and comments. Maybe also ratings. Also the custom-thumbnails, which are in the tree of the album-view? What about the digiKam timestamps? Of which I am still not sure what they really are: http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/digikam-users/2010-June/010653.html cheers micha On Sunday 27 June 2010, 14:34:37 Brano wrote: > On 10-06-27 07:20 AM, [hidden email] wrote: > > Hello digikam-users, > > > > until today I had two independent digikam installations. Yes, all album / tag icons are stored in the database (and only in the database) > What about the digiKam timestamps? > Of which I am still not sure what they really are: > http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/digikam-users/2010-June/010653.html This seems to be creation / modification date stored in the database. They will be re-read of course. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
