Mass Storage camera does not connect -- where to report ?

Michael Gerdau
Hi list,

I'm almost certain this list is the wrong place but I don't know a
better place and do hope some of you are able to point me on, so
please excuse the noise.

That said here is my problem:
I have a brand new Olympus SP510UZ (*very* nice camera BTW) and it
sports a mass storage interface.

Unfortunately it is not properly detected/added to the system. To
debug this I'm compiled usbcore with debugging support (and now have
rather long logs).

I'm on SuSE 10.1, kernel 2.6.16.21-0.25-default.
I also tried 2.6.18 and 2.6.19-rc1 qith equal results.
Upon plugging the camera into the computer it shortly appears in
the USB tree, then a light on the camera flashes and it is removed
from the USB tree.

Can anybody please tell me which would be the appropriate list to
report such problems (and possibly mail the debug logs) ?

Thank you, best wishes,
Michael

Use SuSE bug tracker. Mass Storage device are handled by the kernel and
given that kernel is the most patched component by the various distros,
hence the distro bug reporter is the place.
