Lost photos

Claude Gélinas
As I open Digikam 2.5.0 all my photos are gone. on the right side  I
can see all my collection but the number of elements in each is 0
(zero). On the harddisk all the photos are there

I've switched from SQlite to Mysql to see if it can solve the problem
and rebuilded all the collection but I still have the same problem. 0
photo showed in all collection and all album

How to solve that problem

I'm on Fedora 16, kernel 3.2.7

Thanks

Claude

Sound like a problem with kiosloave. Probably you have updated
something in KDE which break binary compatibilty. KIOslave are
separated process used to query database. Probably these one crash
outside digiKam and do not respond.

Solved

it look like Python was not up to date and update was failing for some
dependency problem. After finding out how to succesfully update python
all is back on trac

Thank you

Album View Setup Question

carl33914

I am in middle of converting all my picture names to Create date and Time.
I like the way it manages.

But now in Album view, I can't see much of the names anymore.
I can reduce the font, but then hard to read.

Is there a way to change the size of the Icon View per photo display
(the Icon plus selected text) ?
Or cause the name to wrap to two lines?

Re: Album View Setup Question

guenter
With ctrl + + and ctrl + - or ctrl + MouseScroll You may
increase/decrease the size of the "preview cards".

You can use also the slider on the status bar to reduce and increase
thumbs size.

Don't forget that icon-view item tool-tips are fully configurable.
Personally, i don't show anything on item bottom, and i use tool tips
+ file format type mime printed over thumb to identify RAW, PNG, and
JPEG.
