Lazy sync in 5.6.0

AndriusWild

Feels like Lazy syncronization isn't working properly in 5.6.0.

For example, if I select many pictures and assign a keyword or a star rating to them digiKam starts writing metadata right away.

The message in the status bar still shows "XXX files await synchronization" though.

My settings are:

Lazy synchronization - ON

Update filestamp when files are modified - ON

Rescan file when files are modified - OFF

Can someone take a look?

With 5.5 or 5.4, this feature work fine ? It's new with 5.6.0 ?

Re: Lazy sync in 5.6.0

I just checked 5.5.0 installation and it works similar to what I have described. digiKam still processing something after I applied tags.
Messages in the terminal look similar to that (for each file):
digikam.dimg: "/mnt/data/FamilyPictures/2016/2016-09/20160923/20160923_194828.jpg"  : JPEG file identified
digikam.database: Finishing took 289 ms
digikam.database: Scanning took 1564 ms
digikam.database: Finishing took 493 ms
digikam.database: Scanning took 1689 ms
digikam.database: Finishing took 185 ms

Is this a normal behavior? I thought Lazy Synchronization does not write anything until user clicked on an icon in the status bar.

Best regards,
