I just used a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens this weekend for the first time. I
do not see this lens available when attempting to use auto-correction but I do see that it is in the Lensfun data base on their web site. Is there a way to get this data into the kipi-plugins so that it is available for Digikam? -- *RW* _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Besides, I recently removed some bogus entries, and removal is not possible by adding to your home directory. Moreover, fixed lens model names end up as double entries. By the way, lensfun 0.3.0 makes updating as easy as calling a command line programm, and the current Git version even doesn't need root priviledges for this. Unfortunately, the distros are very reluctant in packaging it. Until then, http://wilson.bronger.org/db/version_0.tar.bz2 is updated every night (at least). I'm using Ubuntu but with Digikam 4.8 from a different ppa. I found the lensfun data (xml files) in /usr/share/lensfun/ I put the latest data in there but when I open Digikam, there is no data available in any of the three fields: Make, Model, Lens. But all of these fields appear to be recognised by Digikam when I click Use Metadata. Any ideas what is happening? -- *Bobber*<http://kc0dxf.net/blog/> _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

If you start Digikam from the command line, does Lensfun print anything? Which version of Lensfun are you using? Is there a place where we can see changes, preferably with lens names? I have some lenses for which data is missing, most important for me a Canon EF-S 15-85, for which I downloaded a profile from the internet. It would be nice to be able to see if it appears in the library, in whihc case I might remove my custom profile. > Tschö, > Torsten. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I have tried using some of the other programs for photo editing but nothing is as useful as Digikam for me. The ability to move the mouse and see before and after rendering is the most compelling feature of the photo editor for me. I am able to see immediately what effect any change will have on the photo. -- RW _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
