Hi This have been reported before by Linux Mint users. It use pin priority of repositories and down priority my ppa and treat is as an unstable source and give priority to digikam in your official repository as a stable source. You can see the pin priority number by the different sources for digikam when running "apt-cache policy digikam" in your terminal. Ask a Linux Mint user how to solve it or google pin priority and Ubuntu/Debian/Mint repository and how to change how you treat a source. With Ubuntu this isn't an issue. But seems there are other subtilities too. Hi Carlos to be of some relief I have had same situation with different files and yesterday Have had a bad risk of getting my system messed up. Fortunately I was able to recover all system in good health. Then I decided to stay back to 4.0 which is the one supported in Mint. I lost any hope anyone in Mint be willing to fix problems like this. To say the truth I have never understood why for digikam things are not like any deb packages (think first to Vbox, o WPS packages and many others)...but something technical, that I am not able to get, is on the run for this. Are you trying to rebuild digikam on your computer as you run "apt-get build-dep digikam"? Otherwise that command isn't needed. One other thing with Linux Mint and other distributions based on ubuntu 14.04. You need to check if you have KDE 4.13 och KDE 4.14 that your system is using with Digikam. If you use KDE 4.13 then you ONLY use my "extra" PPA but if you use KDE 4.14 (backported or just updated) then you need BOTH my "extra" PPA AND my "kubuntu-backports" PPA that have some packages rebuilt to work with KDE 4.14. (also set pin priority for my "kubuntu-backports" PPA if needed)On Tue, Aug 18, 2015 at 4:25 PM, Carlos Martín <[hidden email]> wrote:
