Kipi 1.6.0 and facebook export

Martin Klapetek
Hi,

I'd like to put out a note about the facebook export plugin still being broken in 1.6.0, but the fix is already in svn (landed yesterday, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=225174 ) It fixes the facebook export, which is currently broken since June. I would advise to create 1.6.1 and release with this patch as it is broken for 6 months and it will take some other month(s) to release another version of kipi and thus fix the problem, which has been already fixed in svn. And users have already waited too long for the fix.

What do you think about 1.6.1?

Marty

Martin,

Why not... but 1.7.0 is planed at 18/12, so it's less than 1 month.

http://www.digikam.org/drupal/about/releaseplan

I plan to bring i18n team to update indeep translations.

It's not enough ?

Re: Kipi 1.6.0 and facebook export

Well it is still almost a month. I personally don't care too much as I'm using the svn of kipi-plugins, but think about the users (not only digiKam users, but users of the other KDE components using the kipi-plugins as well).

It's just an opinion, the decision is yours ;)
