Is the rotation lossless for JPEGs?

Dan Dascalescu
Does the Rotate Left/Right command (Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right) perform a lossless rotation? I only found a very old thread (2009) in Nabble about lossless rotation, and it mentioned some kpi plugins, which I can't tell anything about via dpkg (they probably ship in the appimage).

It is configurable, look in Metadata -> Rotation

The rotation performed to the pixels is of course lossless with JPEG. We use relevant libjpeg method for that.
