Importing photos into digiKam while leaving them in their current location?

Tariq Khokhar
Hi,

Is there a way to import pictures into digiKam without having them copied into a new location / albums?

I'm attempting to migrate to digiKam from another image management system and would like it to just walk the existing directory tree of images stored on a local drive.

I'm afraid Googling / RTMing / IRC didn't scare up any answers.

Thanks,

tk

Just point it to the top of the new directory tree.  It will leave the
photos in place and create database entries for them.
