Import from Gallery2

Nestal Wan
Hi,

I have an existing installation of Gallery2 and I would like to
migrate to digikam.

Is there any tools that can import the metadata (title, comments) to
digikam directly?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Nestal

At the moment no, not as far as I know.

You could however use the WebDav extension for Gallery2 and mount it on
your linux system and just Drag/Drop everything to digikam. That may
work OK, but I'm just guessing. It really depends on whether the images
from the Gallery2 DAV module have comments etc somehow injected into the
Exiv information.

Hi,

For GPS location there is an option to add it to exif in Gallery
maintenance page. For other fields like comments and tags, I don't know
any solution.
