Import files from local folder

ozzyprv

Is there any way to import files (import/rename, etc) using the import feature, when the files are located at a local folder?

I have no problem doing this when the pictures are located in an external USB dive or in my SD card slot. But I cannot find out how to do it when the files already exist in the computer.

Thanks.

Re: Import files from local folder

jim junk
IMPORT>IMPORT FORM REMOTE COMPUTER
You can drag the photos to the top window and use the bottom one to select/create a folder within your Album.
Or you can click on the "+" button and get a file management window that will let you select your images.

You can simply copy them in a file manager and paste inside digiKam.

Thank you.
I guess I will do this and then rename the files using F2.

Re: Import files from local folder

Erick Moreno
Ozzy, did you tried?

1. Ctrl+i
2. Choose a folder

This will open the common import feature that you request in your first e-mail,

3. Go to rename options side
4. Choose your best way to rename the files while digikam import the picture.

You don't need F2.

Best regards
Erick
