I've just tested to import some existing albums previously managed in
bibble5 and tagged in a nested tag structure to digikam. All the tags are stored in.xmp sidecar files with a comma as separator between tags and a semicolon as separator between tag and sub-tag. Unfortunatly all tags are imported to the same level ie the nesting is lost. Is there a way to tell digikam to treat the semicolon as 'nesting separator' ? _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Hi,
after playing around a little bit I could find out that digikam is able to read in my old hierachical tagging stored in .xmp sidecar files. But you have to click "Image"->"Metadata"->"Import xmp" for every single picture. Digikam does not read any xmp although it is set in the settings. I know that reading metadata from xmp sidecar is experimental but I wondering a bit that these files are completely ignored. Did anybody successfully read metadata for xmp sidecar files? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
