The other programs that I mostly use with the TWAIN scanner driver
offer a dialogue box after the scanner is selected. In it, one can
create an image name, input how many digits will be needed, format and
quality to save in, etc. Each image scanned is numbered in sequence
and put into the folder of choice.
Perhaps I missed something? There is no help in the digiKam manual, it
says to refer to the Acquire Images dedicated manual. After each image
scan it asked for a filename and with a default PNG save as.
