Image Editor behavior

Hello,

When I apply Editor Tools to an image digiKam usually does not refresh the image preview until I hover the mouse over the image and then move it back to Tools panel.

Is that possible to make digiKam refresh the preview right away (without removing the mouse cursor from the tools panel)?

yes. I can reproduce. In 4.x version this problem was not reproducible. It's a regression somewhere with Qt5 port. There is a event to catch with canvas and mouse move. Please report the problem in bugzilla.

can you always reproduce this behavior? For example, I can easily change the
brightness or contrast with the sliders here and immediately see the change in
the image. Or do I understand the mistake wrong?

Hi Maik,

You must select the "move mouse over" canvas preview mode to see the dysfunction.

Try Local contrast tool for ex. I use it everyday to improve low light photo for ex.
