IPTC metadata not stored into the JPG files

Michael Preschnofsky
Metadata are not stored in the jpg-files whether I hit the "apply" button or
not.
The checkmarks appear in the tag-tree-view, but when I look at the file
properties e.g. in Windows Explorer they are not there. What do I do wrong?
Kind regards, Michael

Most likely you didn't tick the proper box in the configuration dialog:
under the "Metadata" section, in tab "Behaviour", there's an item "Write to
sidecar files" with a drop-down box below it. I've set that one to "Write to
image and XMP sidecar".

Note that the tag-tree-view reflects the data in the database (and not what's
saved to image or sidecar files), file data are only reloaded on request
(afaik).
