How to submit typo corrections?

Hi all,
After compiling digikam 0.8.1 from source, I noticed a
few typos and spelling mistakes in the application.  I
tracked them down to the file po/en_GB/digikam.po and
wondered what would be the best way to provide you
with my correction suggestions?

As examples of what I'm talking about, there are
things like "you might loose information" instead of
"lose", several mentions of "separe" instead of
"split" and phrases like "This channel corresponding"
instead of "corresponds".

I could just email this list with my suggestions, but
then that leaves you with a manual job to verify and
correct the files.  Or I could send a modified version
of the file?  The thing is, these english texts are
repeated in every digikam.po file, as far as I can
see, for every language, so it would be good if there
was a way to propagate the changes to all the po
files?

All English strings to translate are in source code (using i18n() method). I
recommend you to fix source code yourself in your computer and make a patch
to send to team. Sebastian Roder for example can fix it in svn when he will
get a svn account to write in repository.

Hi,

Let me correct Gilles here. The en_GB translation is done by the brittish
team. You should contact them about your issues. You can find their website
at http://www.kde.me.uk/ If I recall correctly on their website their is a
list of how they 'translate' from en_US (which we use, or suppoesed to use)
and en_GB.

Well, I guess most strings aren't translated by en_GB, so it would make sense
to also check and fix the source (especially for typos like "loose" vs.
"lose").

Hi Frank,

You are right, but a quote from the original mail:

So I concluded the 'translation' is wrong. But you are right, the original
might be wrong too.
