How to run different digikam versions on teh same machine?

Hello,

one simple question:

I work with Linux Mint and use digikam 5,60 appimage and now I want to
use digikam 5,70 appimage although.

But because of "safety reasons" I don't want digikam 5.70 use the same
database as digikam 5.6.

How to do that? As far as I know I had a problem when using digikam 5.40
and 5.60. When I started 5.60 the first time it automatically used the
5.40 database.

2 solutions :

1/ use a different account and setup the 2nd database settings.

2/ use the CLI arguments with AppImage. You can pass argument on
command line to AppImage for digiKam. There are 2 one for you :

--database-directory <dir>
--config <config>

For details, use "help" argument with AppImage executable.
