Is it possible to change the color of the rating stars? I like the
default theme, but would like to change the color of the rating stars, without changing anything else about the theme. Thanks - jon _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
I too want to change the color to 'Golden' for all the themes. For some themes, the existing star colors are not distinguishable from the background/selected thumb's background and sometimes they are even misleading! What I mean to say is.....in theme DLR,say the image is rated 3 stars. Now if we select a thumbnail and the mouse pointer remains over it then the first 3 stars are dimmed and remaining 2 are dark giving the impression that the image is rated 2 stars...And for unrated image it shows 5 stars rating wow!!! Where these icons are installed so that I may try to replace them? Using DK 1.4.0 in PCLinuxOS2010-KDE 4.5.1

I also find the color of the stars hard to see and understand. I
always have to remind myself, when hovering, that the "five stars" that show up really means "no stars". It might help a lot if the "stars" were actually "circles" or "dots" before being clicked to indicate that a rating had been applied. Or better yet, if the stars that were not part of the rating were always smaller (even when hovering) than the stars that are part of the rating. Or if the unrated images' stars didn't have an outline when you hover. And maybe it would help if the color of the unused stars were darker instead of lighter than the stars that are part of the rating. Darker, smaller, not outlined, and perhaps different shape (dot, small circle), even when hovering. One last suggestion: even when not hovering, leave the unchecked stars visible with their darker, smaller, not outlined, perhaps different shape. The switch from fewer stars to five stars upon hovering really is confusing visually, at least to me. I like this suggestion. It would make everything easier to understand if they had different shapes, just like circles or dots. Let me know if you open a bug/wish on thins. regards gerlos -- "Life is pretty simple: You do some stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works. If it works big, others quickly copy it. Pl. visit https://bugs.kde.org/ Create a account if you don't have.Don't use your usual email address having much importance as this will be open, visible to everyone.'Real name' is optional but encouraged, better to keep it not too long. Search for 'Digikam rating' (without quotes) or any other suitable combination of words.Duplication of bug is not expected ,so if already bug report exists, add your comment to it instead of creating a new one.
