How to add new image types?

Bugzilla from hadmut@danisch.de
Hi,

is it possible to add new image types to digikam without changing the
source code (just by configuration)?

ufraw has a mode for editing raw pictures where you modify the picture
(contrast, exposure, sharpening,...), and to not write the raw file,
but just a parameter file (*.ufraw), when can then be generated with
ufraw-batch.

Would be nice to teach digikam to treat these files just as a regular
picture as well.

regards
Hadmut

You can add the file extension in the setup, but digikam wont be able to
display these images.
